A LITTLE HELP FOR THE LEADER

Less keeping track.
More making memories.

Badge Trail is an organizer for Girl Scout troops, Scouting America Cub Scout packs and dens, and Scouting America troops. Keep scout details, badge progress, meeting plans, and celebration records together, so you can spend less time juggling lists and more time helping your troop explore.

Know your troop

Keep a roster with scout names, grades, and optional photos. See each scout’s badge story in one place.

Earn it. Purchase it. Give it.

Record earned badges and dates, then track which badges still need to be purchased or presented. Record a badge for multiple scouts together.

Plan the next adventure

Organize badge plans by date, keep meeting notes, and track your plans through completion.

Find a little inspiration

Browse badges by level, explore council badges, and follow available links to their source pages. Submit a council shop for badge import; discoveries go through admin review before joining the shared catalog.

Celebrate their progress

Print individual badge summaries for families, create bridging certificates, and download troop records. Record downloads require temporary permission from Badge Trail.

Keep leaders on the same page

Invite fellow leaders to work with the same troop records. Scout photos are optional and private; admin troubleshooting access requires your permission.

BETTER TOGETHER

A little help from one troop can go a long way.

Badge Trail’s vision is a shared resource built by leaders, for leaders. A useful badge link, a free meeting guide, or a heads-up about an outdated resource can save another troop time—and help more scouts have a great experience.

Share what helps

We’re building toward a place to suggest badge resources, freely available meeting guides, and ideas that worked for your troop.

Help keep it useful

Community reports of broken links and outdated information will help us review and improve shared resources.

Give troops the credit

Our plan is to credit approved contributions with a troop thank-you note, so everyone can see how we’re helping each other. Credit will use the troop name or number you choose to share, rather than scout details.

Contribution reporting and troop credits are planned community features. Shared ideas will be reviewed before publication, and credit recognizes a contribution rather than an endorsement or a guarantee of accuracy.

IDEAS TO HELP YOU GET STARTED

A useful starting point, with room for your judgment.

Badge information and resource links may come from council shops, official websites, or community contributions. Requirements, prices, availability, and links can change, and imported information may be incomplete or out of date. Admin review does not guarantee that a resource stays current.

Shared or posted meeting ideas and meeting-plan PDFs are optional inspiration and may not cover every current badge requirement. Check the original source and your council’s current guidance before planning a meeting, purchasing a badge, or confirming that it has been earned. Choose activities that fit your scouts’ ages, abilities, and applicable safety guidance.

Resources are included where available; coverage varies by badge and council. Badge Trail does not award badges or replace official requirements. Independent troop organizer. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Girl Scouts of the USA, Scouting America, or any council.

SIMPLE ANNUAL ACCESS

One unit. One organized place.

$45 gives one troop, pack, or den a year of access. Invite fellow leaders to help manage that troop; each additional unit has its own annual fee.

Annual access starts after payment is verified. Renew after a lapse and your new year begins when you pay. Renewal is a payment you choose, rather than an automatic charge.

Account owners can delete their account in Account settings. To download retained records, request temporary download permission. Unrenewed troop data is eligible for automatic deletion after 12 months past expiry with no leader activity during that period; inactive accounts with no remaining troop access are also removed. Request download access before deleting records you want to keep.

Make a little more room for adventure.

Your scouts. Your plans. Your proud moments. Together.
